GurusLab

Why this lab exists

A place for the work and the notes about the work — built on PHP and SQLite, owned outright.

This is the workshop floor.

GurusLab is where the sites, tools, and experiments get built — and where the notes about them live. The point is simple: when something is worth sharing, the place to put it already exists.

What lives here

  • Notes — how something was built, what broke, what we would do differently
  • Projects — the working list, with status and stack for each one

How it is built

Plain PHP 8.3 and SQLite3. No framework, no build step, no external services. The whole thing is a handful of files that can be dropped on any box with PHP and left alone for years.

That is the entire philosophy: own the stack, keep it boring, ship it.

Unlisted notes

Not everything needs to be public. A note can be marked unlisted — it gets a real URL you can send to one person, it never appears in listings, and search engines are told to ignore it. Useful for client previews and internal write-ups.

If it is worth doing twice, it is worth writing down once.
